Cabana was developed in 2021 by studio Liga Arquitetura e Urbanismo and the best way to describe it is as a compact and stylish-looking cabin that’s easy to build and has minimal impact on the land. It’s designed to offer a timeless experience whether you place it in your own backyard, in the city or on a remote site in the middle of wilderness.
The cabin is constructed from a series of materials such as steel, concrete and sustainable wood and it has a metallic pile foundation which allows the use of concrete to be kept to a minimum. It’s suitable for most types of terrain and it was specially developed with remote areas in mind. In that sense, the Cabana has a modular structure and can be transported by a single truck. Each individual module can be carried by only two people which means you won’t be needing a crane or any large equipment when installing or transporting it.
The quick assembly is yet another major advantage that comes with the modular design of the cabin. The whole structure measures only 33 square meters which is not a lot but this space is being used in a smart and efficient manner. Large windows with black PVC frames that match the dark exterior of the cabin allow an abundance of natural light to get inside during the day, minimizing the energy consumption.
This combined with the insulated walls and the strategically placed windows which favor cross ventilation make the Cabana that much more appealing and make it clear it’s been designed with the environment in mind. You can find out more about the Cabana by contacting studio Cubic (@cubic.cabanas).
