This cleaning checklist is extensive, but it does not need to be done all at one time. Instead, begin working through the list as you can. Choose the most essential tasks in the list and then work in the non-essentials throughout the fall season.


Bedrooms

  • Declutter – Go through each area of the bedroom, from the closets to the bedside tables and look for items that you do not need or want anymore. Donate any usable items to the charity of your choice and throw anything broken or damaged away.
  • Dust and Vacuum – Dust all the surfaces, including the ones that you might normally neglect like those hard-to-reach shelves. Vacuum the entire room, and remember to wipe down the ceiling fan blades and light fixtures.
  • Wash Bedding – Launder your bedsheets and this time, include refreshing duvet covers and comforters. Change out your bed linens for warmer options if it is getting chilly.
